Regarding Baptism

Section One

1/13/05 From The Lord, Our God and Savior
The Word of The Lord Spoken to Timothy
For All Those Who Have Ears to Hear

Thus says The Lord, concerning baptism: Let My beloved first be baptized in spirit and in truth, filled with the knowledge of The Holy, nourished by the Word of Truth. Let them come to Me in sincere repentance, and receive forgiveness of sins in The Messiah’s name... All burdens lifted, immersed and purified in The Spirit of God. For The Holy One of Israel is He who baptizes with The Holy Spirit and with fire,[1] and He knows His own.

Therefore, hear and understand: The Water of Life is not of the earth. Rather The Water of Life is that which flows from the body of Messiah. For in Him alone shall one know salvation and receive everlasting life. Therefore be baptized in the knowledge and wisdom of The Beloved. Listen to Him and walk in His ways, and you shall surely be accepted.
Tell Me, is the water of the earth able to take away your sins, or cleanse you of your transgressions? Can a river lead you to salvation or a stream call you to repentance? In what waters have you heard The Word of God speak? Thus baptism by water can not save you.

Rather salvation comes by the hearing of The Gospel,
And through the confession of the mouth that YahuShua,
Called Jesus, is Lord, believing HE IS WHO HE IS[2]...

The Risen One...

The Only Way, The Only Truth, The Only Life[3]...

For only by true repentance, in accord with the heart’s desire
To be in union with The Messiah, shall one be set free.

So then go forth, and be baptized in the waters of the earth, if you so desire. Yet remember this: Baptism in and of itself is nothing, unless the heart of the one being immersed has truly been converted. Thus baptism is for a testimony, an exercise in faith for the one who is saved already; or a mere dampening of the clothes of the one who came forth in pretense. For I am The Lord, I search the hearts and minds,[4] and I know whether or not one has truly been converted in their heart.

7/10/05 From The Lord, Our God and Savior
The Word of The Lord Spoken to Timothy
For All Those Who Have Ears to Hear

Thus says The Lord: Be wary of all these men in authority who dwell in the churches of men, be wary and vigilant. For they hold tightly to singleness of doctrine, teaching always that which is built upon the corrupt knowledge and understanding of men, men who refuse to let go of that which was passed down to them by their forefathers, by which they also remain blind. Therefore do not judge according to human standards,[5] nor by that which is put forth by men as doctrine, for they are greatly misled. Rather study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that need not be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.[6] For discernment with fear is righteousness.
Beloved ones, embrace the wisdom and knowledge of God, break free from all these corrupt doctrines and filthy traditions held in such high regard. For I ask you, if you dispense the food of God to the hungry, while using your own salt to salt that which has salt in itself, will not the food you offer lose its flavor and become bitter in the mouths of those who came looking to be fed?
I tell you the truth, many will there be in My Kingdom who received no baptism by water. Rather they had been fully immersed in The Word of God, enveloped in The Son’s sacrifice and love, baptized in the Spirit of Truth. For most assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. Therefore, do not cast stumbling blocks before the feet of those who love Me. Be one in Messiah, according to that which dwells inwardly in the heart. For true fellowship comes not by words spoken amongst a group of united people, nor by immersion in water. Rather it starts with the heart, and is found in the stillness of My spirit, where My peace mends the broken and My gentle caress gladdens the heart. For all those found at the feet of The Lord are covered with grace, and those who abide in My love are indeed of one accord.
Beloved, where in The Commandments have I written all must be baptized by men to be saved? Baptism is indeed good, if it is a confession poured out from one’s heart in pure belief, an outward act of faith revealing one’s acceptance of their forgiveness in The Messiah. For the water of the earth can only cleanse that which is soiled on the skin. By no means can it cleanse that which is soiled in the spirit; this is reserved for the blood of The Lamb. Again I say to you, baptism by water is nothing, unless one is first washed by The Word, being baptized in the Spirit of Grace and Truth which is received in YahuShua HaMashiach, whom you call Jesus and Christ. For HE is The True Baptism, The Very Water of Life, in which all must be cleansed to receive everlasting life.

Therefore beloved, remember:
The spirit of the Word, and not the letter,
Is the way, the truth and the life...

For The Messiah is indeed coming quickly,[7]
To baptize all in fire and glory...

Those of a wicked heart, in fire...

And those of the Spirit, in glory, forever and ever!

The Word of The Lord Spoken to Timothy
For the United Church of God, and For All Those Who Have Ears to Hear

"Therefore hear and understand the truth of baptism, of which you hold in such high regard, and be careful that you do not make it a rod or measuring stick by which you judge others; nor make baptism by water more than it was ordained to be, lest you make the cross of The Messiah of no effect. For like circumcision, so is baptism; neither is necessary for salvation. For you need only look to the thief on the cross, and have understanding. For one who had not known baptism by water was assured of salvation, though his sin was great, having confessed before The Messiah with a sincere and penitent heart. And in that same moment he was forgiven, and will enter into paradise at the Last Day, as Messiah had spoken it, saying, “In truth I speak to you this day, you shall be with Me in paradise.”

For as it is written: Many will there be in My Kingdom who received no baptism by water. 7/10/05 Wisdom Given to Timothy
For All Those Who Have Ears to Hear
Addendum to “The True Baptism

Listen, all you who hold baptism in such high regard, even as a measuring stick by which you count others worthy or unworthy, according to your own perverse interpretation of the Scriptures, for here is wisdom: Whosoever God has cleansed is worthy; you shall not call them unworthy.[9]
For baptism by water was given to men as an outward testimony of one’s commitment to God, in The Messiah’s name, and also for union in fellowship within the body of Messiah. Therefore be wary of any doctrine which steals from the power of the cross, as though the sacrifice of The Messiah was not enough.

What is earthly, let it stay earthly;
And what is spiritual, let it stay spiritual...

Hold not to the earthly nor to the
Understanding of men, nor grab hold
Of any private interpretation of Scripture;
Trust not in the doctrines of men...

Hold fast to God,
And place all your trust in The Messiah.

2/15/12 From The Lord, Our God and Savior
For All Those Who Have Ears to Hear

"Thus says The Lord to the churches of men: Your cups are full of spoiled wine, yet oh how you love to sip from them. I hear you say, “The body of Christ” as you take and eat, yet not one of you truly receives of Him. Indeed, you stand in the midst of pools of water, immersing yourselves, yet you remain unclean. For I do not know you! Says The Lord.
Therefore depart from Me, all you workers of lawlessness, all you hard-hearted people who reject Me and My words and push out the hand against My rebuke! Depart from Me, all you blind guides who have failed to recognize Me! DEPART! For with you I am sorely displeased! Says The Lord God."

10/10/11 From YahuShua HaMashiach, Our Lord and Savior
For The Lord’s Little Flock, and For All Those Who Have Ears to Hear

"Beloved, it is time to acquiesce,
To fully surrender to the truth of who I am...

To be submersed in My spirit,
To be baptized in My love,
To seek first The Kingdom of God
And His Righteousness, which I am!...

Then shall that which is needful be added to you...

I AM THE LORD."
